John Paul founded Cameron in the Dundee Hills in 1984, and Clos Electrique is the heart of the estate—a dry-farmed estate vineyard literally enclosed by an electric fence (the name is no joke), planted on Jory, the iron-rich red volcanic soil that defines the Dundee Hills. Paul's style has long been the cooler, more savory end of the Oregon Pinot spectrum: whole-cluster fermentation, restrained oak, and a Burgundian sensibility that prizes finesse over weight.
