Supernova is 100% Muscat of Alexandria, sourced from 70-year-old vines on schist and marl in the lieu-dit Les Terres Noires. Whole clusters macerate for about a month before aging in used barrels, amphorae, and cement, a slow-and-low approach that emphasizes texture over fruit. The result is grippy, savory, and aromatically wild, with the Muscat perfume reined in by skin contact and old vines. Lovers of Mediterranean skin-contact whites should not miss this.
