Porusot is one of the great Meursault premier crus, perched on the upper slope toward Puligny with thinner soils and more limestone than the richer Meursault crus to the north. Alex Moreau is best known as a Chassagne grower, so seeing his name on a Meursault label is still relatively new - this is a small parcel and a fairly recent addition to the domaine's lineup. The wine combines Meursault's classic generosity with a Puligny-leaning energy: powerful but precise, broad but lifted.
