Bernard-Bonin is a tiny Meursault domaine that has rocketed into the conversation among connoisseurs in the past few years. Nicolas Bernard and Veronique Bonin farm just a handful of hectares organically and biodynamically, with long lees aging and minimal intervention. Genevrieres is the great 1er Cru that sits above Charmes, all rocky soil and old vines, and at its best it has the stature of a Grand Cru. The warm, ripe 2018 vintage gives this bottling a generous, fleshy register without sacrificing the site's stony spine. Drink in the medium term while the fruit is at its peak.
