The 2022 vintage of Pillot's La Romanée—riper and more concentrated than the taut 2021, with the extra warmth adding flesh to La Romanée's typically elegant, nervous character. Same vineyard, same winemaking (approximately 30% new oak, no bâtonnage, 350-liter barrels, unfiltered), but a different expression of the site. The 2022 whites across Burgundy show excellent balance between ripeness and structure.
