Alma Fria Sonoma Coast Chardonnay Joyce Vineyard 2024
Joyce Vineyard sits high in the Freestone-Occidental corner of the West Sonoma Coast, the warmer southern end of Alma Fria's farming. The 2024 has the energy and saltiness that defines this site, with Meyer lemon, wildflower honey and Gravenstein apple flavors. Alma Fria, founded in 2012 by winemaker Carroll Kemp and the Holtermann family, was instrumental in establishing the West Sonoma Coast AVA, and these single-vineyard Chardonnays are where the project's site-specific philosophy comes through most clearly. Joyce is the most overtly fruited of the lineup.
